Throwback to this little cutie- a double-sided Hobbit house bell jar diorama with frontage and open view into the living room inside. Made from a base of waste packing foam, green flocking and camembert box wood has transformed it into a tiny hillside home.
A tiny round doorway and window are cut through the foam. Wood from a camembert box is used for the fence and arches over the window and doorway. The little round door is made of scrap wood, cardboard, watch parts and a microbead. The window is made from wood and scrap clear plastic.
Tiny laths of real slate step up the foam to the entrance and door, with green flocking and more camembert box fencing around the edge. Foliage and climbing plants frame the door and window, with a tree on top ofthe hill covered in tiny red microbead apples.
Inside, a tiny stove made from brass valve parts and orange feathers as flames adds a cosy corner to the entrance hall, with a rug, chair and chest with flowers and book. Finished in a classic yellow with exposed wooden beams, the room is with crowned with a tiny chandelier on the ceiling.
With a tufts of cotton for smoke from the chimney, and framed with dried foliage, this tiny slice of Hobbiton is adorable and detailed, making an amazing double-sided talking piece.
