Terra Rhapsody Miniatures no longer trading in the EU and Northern Ireland

Regrettably, following changes to the EU GPSR (EU General Product Safety Regulations), changing on 13th December 2024, Terra Rhapsody Miniatures will no longer be able to supply products to the EU and Northern Ireland. EU GPSR has been updated to include requirements of an EU representative for all manufacturers of products exporting to EU and Northern Ireland. As Terra Rhapsody is a small business specialising in individually handmade dollhouse miniatures and gifts, establishing an EU representative is therefore prohibitively expensive for the small number of EU and NI orders we receive. It's really unfortunate, but it's simply a requirement we can't meet. While we can agree that safety is paramount for our customers, regulations of this kind will restrict small business and handmade businesses of all kinds more than larger businesses and corporations. The EU GPSR apply to all physical manufactured goods, including reconditioned or second hand products, as well as digital files. This means even those businesses specialising in digital patterns and downloadable products including software in the EU and NI are also required to have an EU Represenative.

It's a harsh blow for all small and handmade businesses around the world, including the UK.

Terra Rhapsody remains compliant to UK GPSR and Terra Rhapsody Miniatures will continue to be available to customers in the rest of the UK and the rest of the world. Safety information is available and added to listings with assessment of risk and identification of potential allergens used in our miniatures. As items are mainly unique and made in a batch of one using reclaimed and repurposed materials, they do not have the likelihood of recall. Miniatures are intended for adults and decorative sculptural art purposes only. Not item in the Terra Rhapsody shop is intended for children.

Please contact us if you have any questions.

Sending thanks to all of my previous EU and NI customers for their support. It's a really sad goodbye. Ip
